Kaikaoss at “Seven Ways to Ehrenfeld” – Art and Music in Cologne-Ehrenfeld
In September 2018, the artist Kaikaoss participated in the significant exhibition “Seven Ways to Ehrenfeld,” held in the former factory hall of the elevator company Hopmann, known as the Rufffactory, in Cologne-Ehrenfeld. Curated by Georg Krautkrämer, this exhibition brought together seven distinct artistic positions by seven different artists. Besides Kaikaoss, artists such as Elenor Kopka (video art), Daniel Schumann (photography), and Georg Krautkrämer (sculpture) presented their works.
The Rufffactory, with its raw brick walls and almost sacred atmosphere, provided a unique backdrop that gave the expressive artworks a special aura, inviting visitors to deeply immerse themselves in the artistic world.
A special highlight of the exhibition was the musical accompaniment, which enriched the art experience. Classical concerts featuring works by Bach, Mozart, and Schubert were held during the day, while evening jazz performances by artists like Lars Duppler and Jarry Singla added vibrant energy. A grand piano was specially loaned for the concerts, underscoring the event’s high quality and diversity.
“Seven Ways to Ehrenfeld” was repeated in the following years, including 2019 and 2020, becoming an established cultural highlight in Cologne. Kaikaoss’ participation demonstrated his versatility and openness to interdisciplinary art forms, combining visual art with music and spatial staging.
This series impressively showed how art and music can merge in an inspiring environment, offering the audience a multifaceted and sensory-rich experience.
